scammer posing as WV0B

For reports of scammers using other people's callsigns. Remember that any callsigns listed in this forum are likely innocent bystanders (subjects of identity theft) and, thus, are probably not guilty of anything. For bad transactions with verified ham operators, use the Feedback Forum instead.

scammer posing as WV0B

I have been notified that someone is posing as me and attempting to scam people into purchasing items. So far I'm aware of two attempts: a vibroplex key and a FTDX101D. He is using an email address that is wv0bgribble at gmail. I recommend you DO NOT send money to this person. That is my name and callsign but is NOT my email.

I am the REAL WV0B, Dave Gribble. My email address is on my QRZ page and is different from the one that the scammer is using.

I never have and never will email anyone here directly to sell an item. I have so far only posted WTB ads.

I have reported the scammer to Google to get their email shut down but I am not hopeful.
