Scammer - Norma Willey

For reports of scammers using other people's callsigns. Remember that any callsigns listed in this forum are likely innocent bystanders (subjects of identity theft) and, thus, are probably not guilty of anything. For bad transactions with verified ham operators, use the Feedback Forum instead.

Scammer - Norma Willey

I have an item on QTH.com selling for $75.00. A person named Norma Willey ( No Callsign ) sent me a fake cashiers check for $980. I obviously did not deposit it as he or she wanted me to do. The original response I got was through QTH.com. The cashier check had a pool companies name on it. I called the pool company and they said it was not theres. They asked me to send the check to them, which I did. They were very interested in the situation. Be ware, the amount of scamming is ridiculous. Not like it used to be.
