i was wondering if anyone can give me some info on the icom 746 pro you hear so many bad things about this rig does anyone have anything good to say i was thinking about buying one so any information would help.

I have had an Icom 746 pro for about 2 years. I like the radio, I use it on sevaral modes (psk, ssb, fm) and have been quite satisfied with it. I had one problem with an rf driver chip going bad, but Icom fixed it under warranry even thouch the 1 year warranty had expired.
