YAESU VX-5R ANTENNA PROBLEM

Can anyone tell me the best fix for the YAESU VX-5R antenna problem? I love the little radio but the sma female loses contact with the pc board. the problem is driving me to distraction. The long whip antenna used for hf/am broadcast reception is the culprit because it flexes the case of the radio and breaks the connection to the pc board. Any and all serious suggestions will be gratefully accepted. Happy New Year everyone!
