Hi folks,
My name is Mike, KJ1Z from North Anson, Maine. I am posting this for all you VHF enthusiast primarily in the New England area. There are a bunch of us hams that have a group net meeting every Tuesday night at 1930 local EST on 144.225 USB. Net Control is located in the Bangor, Maine area so you can set your beam heading accordingly. We have alot of check ins from around the state and even out of state i.e. MA, NY, NH, CT, And Prince Edward Island, Canada band conditions permitting. We do this to promote activity on 2 meter SSB and have fun working sub grid squares. Now I say primarily New England but however, anyone from anywhere can check in. We have a rover station that goes out and activates grid squares and sub grid squares usually every net evening. Check out our yahoo group at http://groups/yahoo.com/group/144225/.
You will find some info hear on our little awards program and also when the rover is on the road and some contest that we do.
Also to after the 2 meter net on or about 2030 local EST we have a 6 meter FM group on 52.525 simplex, and then on or about 2100 local EST we switch over to 6 meter SSB on 50.200 USB.
I hope this information is helpful for those looking for activity on 2 meter SSB and 6 meters. Hope to hear some new callsigns on the net in the future.
