Creative Products Inc.

In my opinion, Creative Products Inc (manufacturers of computer accessories) does not back up their warranty on their products. In November I bought a Broadxent V.92 PCI modem because my U.S. Robotics modem wasn't fast enough. From the day I installed the Broadxent modem, I've been plauged with 1.5kbps download speeds and line noise created by the modem. I went thru all the "suggestions" that Creative customer support said to try. I even had my local telco rewire the whole house with new wire and jacks (expensive!). Still no solution. I even had the telco repairman listen to the lines while all power was cut off at the main breaker to the house. The line noise was still there, louder than ever.
Called Creative and said their modem was creating the line noise, and that they must replace the modem. They refused to exchange the modem under any circumstance. Now I have a new modem from U.S.Robotics again, no line noise, good download speeds, and the Creative modem will go out with the garbage tonite. Thanks for nothing Creative Products! I'll never buy any of your products again. And I can download radio manuals again without waiting for two hours to get it.
