Alinco ALD-24 Memory Battery

Post by N5ORU »

Hi and thanks for reading this. The memory battery has failed and I am looking for a replacement. I googled the part number in the service manual and had no luck. It is shaped like a "AA" and is shorter than an inch. It is made by eveready but the numbers are not readable. Any ideas?

Please help,

try batteriesamerica.com or w w associates or MAHA

I suggest to all that after you read the articles in the radio mags. that you read EVERY ad on the side of the pages.
read them every month until you have memorized whats out there.

questions like the above, are answered in the ads in the ham magazines.

Without reading the ads in the ham magazines I have resolved the battery issue. The radio uses 2 button batteries which do not cross reference to any other batteries. I adapted to a 3 volt coin battery and it works like a champ. Thanks for your reply, I have checked with all the big battery companies including the one you metioned with no help.

Thanks,
