BEST SELF-STUDY MATERIAL

It's that time of year again; I'm thinking of studying to upgrade first to General and then to Extra in one swoop.

Which is the better self-study guide, Gordon West or ARRL and why?

Alternately, can you recommend another set of readily available study guides?

The ARRL study guide for the Extra is very good. So good, if fact, that after you have passed the exam the material in the guide is still good as a reference source.
