way to vague.
I think thisis HT.
what have you tried??

does the control clck when you turn it off.
if you remove the battery and then put it back does it turn on by it self.
thus a shorted power switch.
does it power off and on with a puch button switch. the carbon button switches in a push button pad get dirty and or the carbon wears off.
sometimes rocking all around the button with a lot of pressure wil cause
a temporary contact.

how old is the radio. has it always been yours?

If its that simple that the spring is broke,
take the switch appart and replace the spring, of find a small slide switch to replace.

ball point pens are a good source of springs.
not the only place though.
JB weld makes a good 'tie down' for switchs that arent exactly 'replacement'.
