Mosley TA-33-SR
Mosley TA-33-SR
I have a Mosley TA-33-SR that has about 1/2 inch of one of the radials with a tear in it. Otherwise it is in good condition (stored outdoors) and is all there with Photo Copy of Manual. It is used and has been up for several years, but not severly corroaded. What's it worth Rickreal Swaptoberfest iscomming the 25th.

What is a radial? Do you mean one of the elements? A tear in a metal element? What does that mean? Maybe if the condition was better understood a guess at the value might be possible.
FYI, I would not pay more than $25 for it, if I couldn't open up each of those traps to see what's going on inside them. I've seen burnt traps, corroded traps, insect infested traps, etc. I'm not a fan of trapped beams anymore, and would greatly prefer something like a Force 12 or Bencher Skyhawk. But I digress...

Tested and additional info
I put it all together. The Traps are all good. Antenna has a very low SWR. The previous owner (SK) never owned more then a 100 watt radio.
These sell for $300.00 used all the time. I had a question because of the tear at the end of one of the element sections.
Where the Element sections join. The larger diameter of the sections has a tear (as in not perfect) because of a lid with a screwdriver in his hand trying to separate it before I got to him.
The last 1/2 inch of the tube is torn open. The clamp covers it. I could have just taken a tubing cutter and shortened each side by a half inch. There is a lot of adjustment length here. I don't do business that way. I want a full discloser and would like to know how much this tear will lower the value.
The Ham Fair is come and gone. I would like a value now to justify to my 75-year-old Mother why I should put up the tower I acquired (40 foot crank up) and keep the antenna. It is a little heavy for the three sections of RS Mast I used to get it up 30 feet. Of course I will need a bigger rotator then the one I use with my 3 element 6 meter.
