Audacity of people trying to get rid of their equipment

Just what it says -- this is the place for any discussions not related to Buying, Selling and Trading ham gear. The discussion must be related to Ham Radio.

Audacity of people trying to get rid of their equipment

Post by k4zmi »

Lots and lots of adds where someone says the rig just back from so and so with a clean bill of health, or something just back from so and so for alignment. What they aren't saying is they've had the radio for so long that it has developed some glitches and they don't want to go through the big cost of having it repaired and they just want to get rid of it.

Since you can not read other people's minds and can only guess their behavior motivation, are you really saying that is what YOU would do? Is this a report of your value system and not others?

Just wondering...

i never could figure out why someone would try to sell a modern day solid state rig, like a 706mk2g, or ts2000 and say "i just shipped it to fred(he's a tech, huhhhh) or i just shipped it to the factory and it has a clean bill of health". how many of us ship our new rigs back to the factory or "fred the tech" for its annual physical???? duhhhhhh
