I got my last one for 550 bucks in 2005, but I have seen clean ones go for over 800 plus shipping on ebay.

No doubt it is worth a lot more than you bought it for originally HI HI

Jim, N8TUR's XYL found a mint SB-220 at the curbside waiting for trash pickup in Birmingham MI . I guess that isn't a true indicator of what it is worth however.
I have seen them at local hamfests for a lot less than $800. There was a real pretty Collins 30-S1 at the 2009 Monroe show that was offered for $800 or offers. It didn't sell. I am betting, given the choice between an SB-220 and a 30-S1 at the same price many folks would be taking the Collins.
