So, I swapped for a Kenwood TS-940S/AT that looks perfect. It cam with a receipt that says all mods were done, (I am assuming this means factory mods as it is not MARS modded) and it works very well.
It has factory boxes, Manual, Service manual, Mic and power cord.
I traded a rig and accessories that I had about $1000 invested in....did I get beat, or did I get a fair deal?

Re: Kenwood TS-940S/AT
Quite honestly, it is hard to tell. Some people value their boat anchors at $1000. Others value their top end rigs at that number. Your 940SAT model (MODEL) can be found for less. If yours is fully up to date and serviced, that adds value. If it is in top shelf condition, that adds value. If it works well for you, that adds value. There are 2 boxes to consider in buying/selling. One box is price. The other box is value. If you are a seller, you have a choice of making the "price" box smaller or making the "value" box larger to do business. As a buyer, you should have the same targets. It isn't all about the lower price. It is really about the greater value. When buyer and seller preceive the boxes to be the same size, a deal is made.kc0rey wrote:...I traded a rig and accessories that I had about $1000 invested in....did I get beat, or did I get a fair deal?
