Hum or buzz in a Henry 2k

Post by WB8JBG »

I have a Henry 2 K classic. I have a hum or buzz in it. I have traced it to the power supply, it appears to be vibrating causing the hum or buzz. I had a fellow ham look at it and he confirms that it is not in the RF deck or the power supply, but in the transformer itself.. Anyone heard of this ? and if so how do I cure the problem? (short of putting a new transformer in it.).[/b]
