Have op to buy a FT-ONE from an estate. Everything works. Has an FM board . Cosmetics are fair with wear on knobs, etc. case has a few scratches. Smoke free. does not have original mike but comes with a D-104 that is not wired in. any comments ? Thx Herb KC8YLJ

That radio was ahead of its time. It was an excellent radio but never achieved the success because it was so far in front of the others. Be sure that "everything works." That means the filtering, keyer, memories, etc. If it comes with a D-104 I would be concerned that it had been boogered up for "other" band use. At any rate, get another microphone. The impedence mismatch will result in distortion. Check the voltage levels and hook it up to a decent antenna and use the receiver features. Check output levels on all bands. They have held some value with good specimens bringing well in excess of $400 with less than quality units just under $300.

Thx K4KK for reply. FT - ONE owner lost orig mike. Family is just throwing in a d-104 in its place. Had a ham friend ck it out and all appears good. Thx again. I think I'll see about what I can pick it up for
