When your item is actually sold, ASAP delete the ad. If your item is waiting payment/trade,ASAP put 'PENDING" in the first line of the ad.
If for pick up only, put this as the first sentence in your ad.

This way you will not receive phone calls/emails that you do not want. Also will save the potential buyer time and hassle.
