Help with Yaesu FT-840- only has output in CW mode!

Hi all, I am looking for help with my Yaesu FT-840, I am hoping someone is familiar with this specific problem and can advise. I have an FT-840 and it ONLY has output in CW mode. It has NO output in SSB, AM, or FM mode (it has the FM board.). Yes, I have done a reset, and the RF power control has no effect in AM/FM/SSB, ZERO output. The radio will go on to the TX mode it just has no output in those modes, only full output in CW. Receive is fine, S meter is fine, everything else on the radio seems normal.

Anybody familiar with this specific problem?

Adam, Ithought I had the same problem but I found that the batterys i was useing didn't have enough charge when i charged them up to 13.5 volts worked perfect. hope this helps.

Hi, no, was using a fully regulated power supply, that was not it.
