I re-caped the power capacitors and lubed, cleaned and such . the kenwood t559d
Now I have hooked up the variac for a few hours all tubes light up seems fine .
started to tune the transmitter but can only tune the Alc/bais
when i switch to ip i get nothing on the meter?? in the transmit mode?
what is the next check for this hybrid
is there any way to insert pictures in here?
I have pictures and schematic. vtvm, workshop ect. Thanks for looking :O) [/img]

first and most obvious thing is to verify the meter circuit in the Plate current mode.
Use ohm meter to verify the switch contacts, sensing resistor for plate curent.
wireing, ......
then you may need to verify you actually have plate voltage on the tubes to
create any plate current..
WARNING.. plate voltage can be dangerous....
Especially if you re-capped the power supply.. did you leave a wire off some where.
Are you missing plate vltage to the driver tube.
one step at a time.........
do you have a dummy load and SWR meter.
Do you get any power output indication..???
that would tell you that there is a metering problem on IP>>
no power output indication would indicate
HV failure,, tube failure,, wireing,,,,
Seperate and substitute.....
whats good whats bad..
substute another meter accross the IP sensing resistor to verify no current or bad meter..
No easteregging... trouble shoot logically..
