Yaesu FT2000 Lost CAT control connection

Yaesu FT2000 Lost CAT control connection

For years I've been connecting to Ham Radio Deluxe to my FT2000, then a few weeks ago, lost my ability to connect to Rig, checked cables and ports don't seem to fins anything there...But when I use the Ham Radio Deluxe CAT command test tool, it says that is is connected to rig BUT after I give commands, only responds with, ERROR!!!! any advice fellow Hams? Is the like a CAT interface board or something in the FT2000 that is replaceable? Scratching my head now...which way to go???
