I didnt know about this forum till I had a problem. Charles has defrauded several member here. Just do a search for his call sign. Dont buy anything from him. he will just take the money then setup a label with UPS or whatever but it will never show picked up. Then when u complain he will act like he doesnt know whats going on. he will say he will do a search but then it will just show, held for later delivery, no address or nothing. he is just trying to get past the waiting period for paypal. file a claim, say u suspect fraud. Because that is exactly what it is. FRAUD. He should be in jail. I hope they catch his worthless behind.

I have just gotten off the phone with paypal they have filed a dispute .. I bought a IC-737 and SM-20 Mic.. for my Nephew who just got his General Class License in McKinney... All seemed well I paid using Paypal... Should have had the Red flags go up with that weird Paypal address he had... But as usual I was thinking he was an honest guy... When the Package was to be delivered on Tuesday it never showed I had a tracking number and all and it now shows that it has been set up to be delivered on another date by the shipper.. I knew something was up then.. What a piece of work this guy must be.... I was trying to get a good deal for my New Ham Nephew and we both got took... Any help is appreciated.. I am hoping Paypal will reimburse me but I don't know how that works...

This is for all who have been impacted by K6CMC Charles Clements. UPS website has a fraud report tab where you can file a complaint with the internet crime complaint center that will take all your information on how you have been taken by this guy and will report it to the correct authorities. If enough of us file a complaint it could be sent to the FBI for investigation. I did my part and filed a complaint. Just to let you know this web site will time out so you need to put all your thoughts on a word document and after filling out all the blanks cut and paste into the form. I am a little slow to catch on, it took two time outs to figure what was happening.

Hi, all. I am a new member to the "Scammed By Charles Clements" club. I bought an Icom 737 from an ad he posted on eHam.net. I made this purchase sometime around July 7th or 8th. He and I then had several days of friendly email about radio, as I am a very green newbie. He helped me figure out what the best power supply to get was, and he told me he has a power supply he could sell me for cheap, but he didn't recommend it as it wasn't that good. Gave me a little advice on antennas, too. All of this made me think he was anything but a scammer. He's a scammer. I have the same "modified intercept" notations on the tracking number he gave me. I called UPS today to find out what they knew, and they said no package had ever been in their possession at all. Just the label.

This was my first radio. Or it was going to be. I'm very low budget, and I was really excited about that Icom 737. I found the manual online and have read it, word-for-word, half a dozen times now. Let's all hope he gets too careless and ends up behind bars.
