Scammed -Someone Posing as K8IL

For reports of scammers using other people's callsigns. Remember that any callsigns listed in this forum are likely innocent bystanders (subjects of identity theft) and, thus, are probably not guilty of anything. For bad transactions with verified ham operators, use the Feedback Forum instead.

Someone Posing as K8IL-K8ILemark@gmail.com email address they are using- Answered my WTB ad posing as Marc Schauwecker-K8il -I know Mark from years ago and knew he was having health issues ! This person said his daughter Teresa Buelow-880 Albert Ave NW-Corydon,Indiana-47112 was taking care of him and I sent USPS Money Order to her! Beware Sam Maze W8SPM

Yes ... scammers are now replying to WTB adds using call book information of other hams.
Be careful about sending money ... Paypal is what I use to be safe and always send for goods and services never as a gift.
If they dont or wont call you then it is a scam.
