This is a Hickok oscilloscope made in the very early 50`s....The label on the front says:
OS-8U
OSCILLOSCOPE
supply: 105 to 125 V 50 to 1600~
SERIAL #2
for general electronics use
manufactured for
NAVY DEPARTMENT - BUREAU OF SHIPS
by contractor
The Hickok Electrical Instrument co.
Cleveland, Ohio
Contract number 8SR-42167
The carry case measures 6" x 8.75" x 13".....I`ve searched, and the only one that comes up is a model OS-8/ BU...not a OS-8/U.....With a serial number of 2, I`m wondering if it was only made a very short time, then they started with the OS-8/BU.
The on-line picture of the OS-8/BU looks very similar to the OS-8/U....Anyone know anything about it?
Thanks, Ray

This is an audio range oscilloscope and saw general use for monitoring audio signals or sometimes even looking at the output of an RTTY converter
