BEWARE Scammer using WK9K call

For reports of scammers using other people's callsigns. Remember that any callsigns listed in this forum are likely innocent bystanders (subjects of identity theft) and, thus, are probably not guilty of anything. For bad transactions with verified ham operators, use the Feedback Forum instead.

This scammer also replied to my wanted ad and used the email address of josewk9k@gmail.com....the IP address is 64.147.108.53 and I emailed the real WK9K from QRZ email address (@arrl.net email) and Joe WK9K said he has no equipment for sale and do NOT sent this guy money to NY for anything.

Got an email from him also, not sure if legit but being cautious based upon the past info, email used was jcutrone920@gmail.com> and one with WK9K@arrl.net...not sure if legit...never came back after I responded....

wk9k replied to my WTB ad on qrz, i asked what the price was but based
on what i saw on qth and eham about his call , I used the qrz email address and
got no response, so guess the scammer is alive and well.
