ATTEMPTED SCAM. K5BCN

Post by n3ab »

Someone using call sign K5BCN attempted to scam me out of an item I have for sale. The email address this person was using is robwatson2626@gmail.com.

I notified K5BCN at his QRZ listed email address.

Be careful!

Got another Scam using BCN's Callsign today.
Same deal where they were to send a Cashier's check with an extra $50.

K5BCN is a ham in Arkansas, the scanner is in Florida. He reversed K5BCN real name and of course the email is not the real one listed on his real QRZ page. He also offered me the extra 50 to “hold” the amp i am offering. The real kicker was when he said, he would have his “movers” pick it up...HE was not even smart enough to read my QRZ info and realize I am at my NM Athens and not my Oklahoma with.

Hoser for sure!!! Don’t fall for this guy.
