Scammer using K5BCN callsign

Post by wb4iuy »

I got an offer from a QTH ad from someone using K5BCN's callsign. He was supposed to send a certified bank check, but instead sent a bogus check for a business in Pa from a Wells Fargo in Texas. The phone # he used was (305)306-5910 (in Florida). His email used was jcwms907@gmail.com . After I realized what was going on, I found that his email didn't match the real K5BCN who is actually in Ar. When I called the business in Pa he was supposedly sending the check from, they said they had several other calls about checks written by him. Wells Fargo has the check and all his contact info I have, now.
