dealings with Sheila Dedrick??

She (he) sent me email on item I had posted on here, wants to buy it for friend in Europe, will send me a Travelers Cheque on Bank of America.
Of course it will not be shipped until BA clears the cheque. Anyone else had any dealings with this person? "old Bill"

Sounds like a take-off on the scam that has been running for several years.

I had the same experience. The scammer declared that he/she was a Christian, and American citizen and trustworthy. ... you betcha..

The clinching tip off was that everything had be be done in a hurry.

I responded to the person demanding that all payment MUST be done via Western Union. All of a sudden there was no hurry and no "Sheila".

I went along with the scam just to get the travllers cheque for framing, with no intention sending anything. hope I don't get myself into a bind doing this.

i have received a email for a yaesu-ft-50r daul band ht that i'm selling for 250.00 plus shipping, included is all chargers batteries, speaker mic, head set, etc etc, this guy sends me a email that he would send a check for 3,500. i am to cash check and when he send his privet courier to pick up pakage im to give them the balance, is this a new type of scam? if it is but they have stolen the check, what happen's when they trace it to my bank? am i responsible for the full amount? and will they take it out of my account?
