Scammer using K3AC, and others

For reports of scammers using other people's callsigns. Remember that any callsigns listed in this forum are likely innocent bystanders (subjects of identity theft) and, thus, are probably not guilty of anything. For bad transactions with verified ham operators, use the Feedback Forum instead.

Scammer using K3AC, and others

Post by W8EK »

The scammers are at it again. Of course they all want to use a cashiers check, and have their "mover" pick up the "item". FWIW, my bank tells me that about 1/3 of the cashiers checks they get are "defective" (their term).

The scammers recently used K3AC as a call sign and bobaircraft@engineer.com for an e-mail address, which is not the correct one for the real Bob. The real K3AC is active here, and it looks like now a fake one as well.

I have also had
Name: Samy
Callsign: NON
E-mail: dr.samy037@gmail.com
IP Address: 199.217.105.244

and also
Name: Chris Stewart
Callsign: 49
E-mail: Chrisstewartbarb@gmail.com
IP Address: 146.70.202.118

and also
Name: Alex Sotelo
Callsign: NONE
E-mail: leviticus9078@gmail.com
IP Address: 185.199.103.122

These have all been within the last week or so. Use caution!
