Steven L Hays, Sr KA9MOT - no goods/ no refund

Up to this point I've had only good transactions with honest fellow hams on qth.com. In May I sent Steven KA9MOT a check for $50 for a Raspberyy pi he advertised. He agreed to ship after the check cleared. The check cleared my credit union 5/31/23. Receiving nothing/ hearing nothing, I emailed him 6/7. He responded 6/10 saying he was in the hospital. Still receiving nothing/ hearing nothing by 7/2 I emailed him again. He responded same day, still hospitalized. In later emails between us he said he was in rehab and would be discharged home 9/1, going to his storage space to find the pi3 a few days later and mailing it. Receiving nothing/ hearing nothing by 9/12 I emailed asking for a refund. Nothing from him since, no refund, no pi3, no explanation. Beware of ads placed by Steven KA9MOT.

All true and there's nothing I can do about it to change it. Stuff happens sometimes that is beyond our control.
Ted, as we agreed, if I can find the pi, I'll ship it to you as a gift and send your money back.
