Red flag for a buyer ie expired license and mo only

I looked at a radio for sale and noticed
1 photo has no call sign in the photo
2 call sign has expired on fcc website
3 mo only no venmo or paypal
I did not get far enough to ask where they wanted the mo sent . Red flags?? But area code for phone is correct for the expired lic location. Am I paranoid?
