KC9FXZ - Danny Vanhyning = Buyer beware

Post by AI4FR »

An item I purchased from KC9FXZ Danny Vanhyning was damaged beyond repair do to horrible packing. Meters with a glass face were warped in a plastic grocery bag for protection. Then the meter glass face was placed on the edge of another item totally destroying the meter glass and the needle movements. To make matters worse the box used was bulging on the top and bottom due to it being to small.

Since no refund has been issued I have escalated the case with paypal. Sometimes, just by the way a seller responds to emails it is possible to get that feeling in which paypal friends and family should not be used. I got that feeling here and did not do paypal friends and family. This is a first for me with getting paypal involved.

July 8 = Paid by paypal.
July 9 = Seller stated he would ship in two days.
July 14 = Seller states he is shipping tomorrow.
July 15 = Shipped.
July 18 = Item arrived damaged and seller was notified.
July 19 = Seller stated he would let me know about a refund.
July 23 = Seller has disappeared since the 19th so a paypal case has been filed.
July 29 = Paypal case escalated.
Aug. 1 = Credit card company involvement.
