For reports of scammers using other people's callsigns. Remember that any callsigns listed in this forum are likely innocent bystanders (subjects of identity theft) and, thus, are probably not guilty of anything. For bad transactions with verified ham operators, use the Feedback Forum instead.

This happened today. Runs through a vpn out of L.A. that has a history of scammers. Has the usual smell:

Thanks for the quick response. I am so pleased to read from you. Well I will go with the $1100 price which you have said. Meanwhile, I will be making payment via certified cashier check and I will also be responsible for the shipping, I also have some other items to be shipped so I will arrange for it to be shipped alongside the other items. Please note that I will only send my shipper down after the check must have cleared so there is absolutely nothing to worry about. If this is okay by you then kindly get back to me with your full name, contact address and phone number. I await your swift response.
