National HRO-500 with matching speaker
very nice cond original no mods done
9 on scale.
Whath"s it worth?
You've got a rare beauty there . . .
The HRO-500 was next to last of the venerable HRO series, famous for the micrometer bandspread dial designed by James Millen of grid dip oscillator fame. Built in the mid 60's, only the 600 was more rare -- and the 600 was a solid state receiver with LF to 30 MHz coverage.
The HRO-500 was the first HRO not to have the plug-in coil system for frequency range/bandspread. I don't think many were built, and they are well built and rare, making the price ----- IMHO about $400 and up, depending on the desire of the purchaser.
If I had one, I wouldn't sell it . . .
