Antenna Tuner

Well some call me thick headed maybe I am, But I have this question and request, I think a antenna tuner is a importent part of a base setup and I have one that was loaned to me but no instruction manuel or owners manuel.
I would like to find instructions on how to properly use and tune this tuner the one I have is a B&W Model VS300A not that it would mater as they are most likly the same can anyone help me out on this delemma.

I have never owned a store bought tuner or read the instructions to one but the way I have always done it is, set the caps to center and adjust the inductor for Max. receive, apply low drive power and readjust the caps for Min. SWR. This has always worked for me. 73 Harry W4VGJ
