Placed a WTB ad for a VFO, and received a reply from a "Armando Martin", no call sign. I should have known that no call sign was trouble, but it did not sink in. He asked my bid, and replied OK, send a payment ,credit card or check. I used PayPal, and the payment went to an "Ethel, McCoy.
When I asked for a tracking number, he gave me some website that was not the carrier, and requested my password. Now aware of the fraud I have requested a refund via PayPal, and they are processing it. Call sign, call sign - a must!

Good luck on getting a refund from paypal, I got took from the infamous
Armodo Martins / Ethel McCoy team too.
Best thing to do is to empty your paypal account and cancel it.
