CLEGG FM-27B

Post by scondos »

I have a Clegg Fm-27b, modified by AES to be compatible with the entire 2 meter spectrum. I wanted to trade or sell this piece of equipment. It is in perfect working condition, with an optional Heathkit DTMF Mike. What is this worth? Can I get a 2 meter all-mode for this, or close to it, ( with funds added). Any advice would be appreciated from this new Ham working on his code.

THANK YOU IN ADVANCE FOR ANY HELP.

This was one of the very first 2 meter synthesized radios, and originally only covered 146-148 MHz. Soon after introduction they were found to have spurious emissions that were all over the commercial frequencies, and they got a very bad repuation very fast. The Heathkit HW-2026 was a copy, and it was quickly withdrawn from the market for the same reason.

I wouldn't give over $10 for it, and only as a shelf ornament.
