Scammmer using AA1VE

Post by ve2jl »

I have a wanted on QTH and received a generic style response from someone pretending to be AA1VE.
After checking the IP, it was found to be in Germany and is blacklisted in at least 2 other places.
Scammer offered to send picture but never identified what I was looking for.
Simple scam that is easy to spot.
If you show any interest they will send a internet photo they find on the net to you.
Always be skeptical with these vague....out of the blue.... replies.
