QTH.COM Swap Chat

Someone high jacked K2BXB and responding to want posts. Email provider bogus as is IP location. Attempted to scam me, but the entire email, wording, etc. bogus. Be cautious with emails that don't add up.

Received direct message (not via QTH.com) from K2BXB - his email service: outlook.com in regards to my add on QTH.com

Sad to say but this it true......

I was scammed yesterday for an ad on QTH.com.

The offer was from a William Nettleton

Looked very legit but after searching found K2BXB had been hijacked and this scam was going on. Just wish it was a day earlier, or did some investigating
before I made a purchase.

They are using PayPal account jamesbarr531@gmail.com and it reverts to Courtney's allmotivesolutions@yahoo.com . At least I used my PayPal account so I beleive I am covered. If not it a valuable $100 lesson.

Buyers beware.....

There is a thread running on Eham also about this scammer...been very active the past couple of weeks....

Scammer copied AA4BD's posting off QRZ....

Bet if you asked about the ANAN, he wouldn't even know what it is...

Sad that the info is blocked out. Helps others avoid the same pitfalls. Oh well.
