I have a Alinco DX-70 which does 100 watts and 10 watts. I'm going to use the radio on 10 watts at a park. Does anyone know what the transmit amp should be with the 12v battery. I think the amp at 100 watts is 25 amps. Any help ? Thanks...Albert w5APL

If you read the ads on FM rigs.. 50 watts draws 11 amps..
Ball park 1/5th of that (10 watts) would draw around 2 amps..
I think safe to say, around 4 amps or so is about right.
