Wading with Alligators

Why is it coming in here to look for a radio feels like I'm a guppy swimming with Alligators? I've been looking for months to get a good used radio and the associated hardware. I'm a disabled vet and worked hard to pass that test but everywhere I look it doesn't feel safe to purchase with so much buyer beware.
Can't you establish a trusted seller program or some thing.
I made one attempt to get a 7300 knowing it was well out of budget.
Oh well.
