N9EMC is back again

I paid for a few items from N9EMC. I had a lot of issues getting them shipped (took a month before I received a tracking number after a lot of badgering and posting the following comments over on eHam), only to discover he had shorted me one item, a rotor controller. He apologized and promised to send it out "right away". Never showed up and now has gone radio silent (again). Someone noted he had a lot of upset hams over here qth.com (search.php?keywords=n9emc) from a while ago when he apparently pulled the same stunt(s).

It is what it is, I guess. At least it wasn't for an expensive amp. I've had great luck from QRZ and eHam postings before, guess a bad one was bound to happen sooner or later.

The listing was from QRZ: https://forums.qrz.com/index.php?th...a ... st-6207470

I bought several items from Joe Herreweyers, N9EMC. Sent a check and was deposited a couple of days later back in May. Nothing received.

Sent several emails. Finally received one back saying he was at work and would send the tracking number that evening.

Days later and still no items I purchased ($310) and no email.

I don't recommend dealing with Joe, N9EMC. I will update if anything arrives or if I receive either an email or a refund.

Update:

Received a box from N9EMC. It was missing one of the items I bought (the Ham IV controller). I let Joe know and he said he would get it out "right away". Has not arrived yet and he has not supplied a tracking number or a partial refund.

The box with everything else was not cushioned well. One of the remote controllers for switching antennas had no cushioning and has parts rolling around inside, plus a big dent from the Alliance rotor packed next to it.

Update:

After promising to get the missing rotor controller out, N9EMC stopped responding to emails asking for either a refund ($50 for the rotor controller) or a tracking number.

At this point I'm assuming I've been scammed by a repeat scammer. I'm going to cross-post to QRZ, eHam, and QTH, plus I'll talk to my local small-town postmaster and ask her to forward a complaint to the post office investigators. I sent a check by mail and it was cashed right away, so should fall into the post office fraud folks.

Should a box appear, I will do a final update. Either way, I recommend avoiding N9EMC in any capacity involving money or goods.
