Scammer using the call N5OLA not the real N5OLA

Post by kh7y »

I have a ad running on QTH looking for a SteppIR SDA-100 controller. Received a reply late last night from a Willy (Everett William) After many emails and texts to very late last night we got pictures of the SDA-100, He wanted a low price for the controller was the first red flag, second he did not go through the QTH site to contact me, third he send me a picture of a SP-30 speaker not the SDA-100. Then when asked for the correct picture showed two units without power supplies. We called him on the phone today and asked more questions, without success, This guy is a scammer.
I am sure the real N5OLA, Will, is a fine person. Cannot get in touch with him as he has no email address on QRZ......that is another red flag. So here is the email addresses he is using on email n5olawilly73@gmail.com and his PayPal address is Wilsont1101@gmail.com Also his telephone is in area code 940 and should be in 956... Caution with this person, I am sending a note in the mail to the real N5OLA.
