N5WHT Vollie Redd or a person claiming to be N5WHT, listed a Top Gun Ind. Quad 5 10/11Meter radio for sale back in April of this year. Things got weird with this deal from the get go, which sent up multiple RED FLAGS on my end. First before I even agreed to buy this Quad 5 radio, Mr. Vollie N5WHT or the person claiming to be him, is sending me EMails with .jpg pictures of the item all boxed up with my ship to address clearly displayed on the mailing label. Once I agreed to purchase the Quad 5 for $150 including shipping, Mr. Vollie N5WHT or his clone then wants me to basically put $150.00 CA$H in an envelope and mail it away to him. When I mention I'm NOT COMFORTABLE with doing a payment this way and instead would like to use PayPals "Goods & Services" - even offering to pay any 3.5% transaction fees; he goes into a rant about how he does thousands of transactions a year this way, and has never had any issues. He also told me he did not have a PayPal account, which was a LIE, as there was one associated with the EMail he was using. I also asked if my brother Bob, who lives in TX a few suburbs over from Mr. Vollie's Call Sign listed address, could come by his place and do my transaction in person. One excuse after another why Bob can't come by - something about up on the roof all day doing Tornado repairs..... bla bla bla, "just send me $150.00 CA$H in the mail. In the end I did submit payment via Vollie Redd N5WHT's PayPal account, and after a few weeks had to fight with PayPal to my get my $155.25 back. SO no Top Gun Ind. Quad 5 10/11Meter radio, but got my $150.00 back in the bank. SO far this was my WEIRDEST transaction to date. Maybe it's just me.

I received a nasty email from N5WHT berating me for NOT accepting PayPal and that I just lost a sale. And now he claims he does not have a PayPal account?

All I know is that he was the very first person to gain an entry on my Black List.

Hmmm, the plot thickens???......

If YOU had only paid me by the METHOD that I asked for in my AD,and every other communications that we had. But NO, you had to "TRY TO FORCE" me to take a Method Of Payment that YOU wanted. You can't BULLY people THAT WAY. This could have a Nice Smoooth transaction, but you made an A$$ of yourself. And now everybody knows what an A$$ you are,and will do good to steer clear of you. Anytime you want to send me the payment for the radio,feel free. The Quad-5 is still here all boxed and labeled with your address. Send payment the way I requested, and the radio will be on it's way to you. Or I guess you would you rather cry a about it. I will NOT be bullied by you or anybody.

Well thank you so much for that offer, but would you please take my address off of that Quad-5's shipping box,
as you WILL NOT be sending that to me EVER!!

I actually bought another BRAND NEW one at a better deal shipped, than you had offered me. And the BEST PART,
was I was able to use PayPal's secured Escrow services to make my payment. I was never asked to place $150+ Dollars
in an Envelope and mail it away to someone I DO NOT KNOW!

I'll ask my Texas brother Bob if he's interested in coming by to pick it up in person,. I'll forward him your phone number and
contact address info.
