The New-Old Shack

In trying to re-create my old Heathkit equipped shack from the 1960's/70's, I obviously needed to obtain a lot of old,used equipment for the purpose.
One of the bright spots in that endeavour is this forum and it's classified ads.
Over the last couple of months I have purchased many items listed here and have found universally fair, and in some cases more than fair, dealings.
Purchases included everything from transceiver to receivers, Antenna Tuners and many other accessories. If I wasn't such a lousy record keeper, I would thank each of the persons individually.
I now have a superbly functioning set up with a great Hw-101 TXCVR, an Hr-1680 Receiver that is an absolute joy to listen to etc. etc.
Suffice it to say, that my heartfelt thanks go out to all these folks for their honesty and integrity.
Just as an example, the fellow who sold me the HW-101 went so far as to put the unit on the air before he shipped it to me and found some drive belts he did not like the looks of and replaced them ! Talk about service !!
Please keep the positive comments coming because they helps folks like
me who are looking for good people to deal with.
