modifing a Yaesu FC 757 Tuner

I have a FT980 and a FC tuner,they work xlnt.What I want to do is be able to use the tuner on GEN coverage TX&RX.This radio has the Factory Mod that lets you TX&RX when installed.This is not somebody's mod but factory that sold for about 6 MTS.The people at Yaesu just do not have enough know how on how to do it.Thank you for your time Cliff Vail Carson City NV. 775-885-1967
