Source of cable for internal antenna link?

Just what it says -- this is the place for any discussions not related to Buying, Selling and Trading ham gear. The discussion must be related to Ham Radio.

Source of cable for internal antenna link?

Post by kc0kec »

Hello,
I am finishing up a 10M "micro mountaineer" kit I started years ago (I took a few years off ham radio to raise my kids... sorry! :? )

Inside this kit I am supposed to use a shielded cable to connect the output of one circuit to the input of another - this goes through a variable resistor for RF gain control.

I tried doing this with RG-58 but it is too stiff. I need something probably 14, 16, or 18 gauge and stranded. Must be shielded.

Any recommendations for a source for this cable? RG-58 was the smallest shielded cable they had.

Thanks much!
