Trying to connect a Kenwood 950 to a henry 2K classic. I don't hear the relay's click,, and I don't have any plate amps, and when I transmit the out put power on my 950 drops to about 40 watts., and will stay that way until the amp has been off for a few minutes. Help!

You will need both schemetics.....
a volt ohm milliiamp meter.
disable the amp by putting some thin card board in the relay points, or some other method to prevent the finals from actually operating.
Taking the plate caps off works, or drastic, remove the tubes completly.
power the 950 to minimum power to reduce drive to the amp.
at this point you arent worried about actual output.
you have a switching problem....
key the 950 and watch the relays etc. see what works and what doesnt.
trace out with the volt meter, or any suspect opens in the wireing/cables
you can use an ohmmeter with out power.
First off , you have to know what SHOULD happen before you can determine what does not happen.
SEQUENCE ... key the mic, close ptt relay in 950. apply ptt voltage to henry.
pick the transmit relay in the henry. (logical action, not necessarily actual)
when the controls cycle correctly, then restore the tubes , how ever you disabled them and test the whole mess into a dummy load at low power, all around.
once all the control works at lowest power you can work on the higher power tune up.
