kenwood R-1000

what is a kenwood R-1000 worth ? the rec is in extra clean works perfect have the manual not a mark on it i was thinking around $300.00 plus shipping what do you think ? and is there a place one could look up that would give him some idea what ham thing are worth ? thanks for looking . floyd

It probably is worth about that. However, they are not bringing that much on the market right now. It is the same old story of supply and demand. There just is little demand with so much focus on digital communications.
I often go to eBay and go to their advanced search (
http://pages.ebay.com/search/items/search_adv.html) to check recent values. You can select completed items and get a reasonable idea. I will review the auctions if a price seems out of line to see if it was in bad condition or perhaps in the other direction included options, etc. Try going there and searching on "Kenwood R-1000" and see if there are any examples.
