Yaesu FT-650 6 Meter Radio - Price?

Any thoughts on a fair price for a FT-650 Radio? Covers 24, 28 and 50 Mhz.

Mine is original, and even comes with original boxes.

I know that these are very highly coveted by 6 meter buffs (took me years searching to find mine) because they are essentially an FT-1000D in a 6 meter package, they are very rare (were very expensive and not a lot were made).

Any thoughts greatly appreciated.

Prices on these bounce around a lot. I purchased one in great shape last year for around $1k. However, I've seen them go on eBay for nearly $2k. It can get especially crazy when you have two people who "have to have it" and they get caught in a bidding war.
