FT-1000MP MKV - AL811 Amp

Just bought an FT-1000MP MKV Field and want to hook up my AL-811 amp up to the radio. Has anyone set up an amp like this to their FT-1000 ? What precautions should be taken ? Which slots are used in the radio ?
