Alinco DJ-175

I just unpacked my new Alinco DJ-175 and like it very much. I hope someone experienced with this HT can help me with a question which I have, even after reading the owner's manual several times.
The DJ-175 transmits and receives between 144 and 147.995 MHz (2-meter band). It scans from 136 to 173.995 MHz--a much greater range than I have any use for.
Is there a way to program the DJ-175 to limit the scan to 144 and 147.995 MHz?
Any help you can give me would be sincerely appreciated. Thank you and 73s.
